Smile

I have the privilege of being a Guest Designer for  High Hopes Rubber Stamps. This weeks challenge is "Spots and Dots".

I chose to use "Froggy Stack" and added some spots to two of the frogs.

For the clouds, I die cut a cloud shape and moved it around the page where I wanted the clouds.  I coloured the edge with a chalk pencil and smoothed my colouring with a Kleenex.

I hand sketched in the pond and bull rushes, coloured and then outlined in black.

I didn't have a patterned "Dots" paper I liked so I ran a piece of cardstock through an embossing folder and highlighted the dots with a chalk pencil.

Stamp - Froggy Stack

Patterned paper and brads
Embossing Folder - Cuttlebug - Seeing Spots

Mother's Day

May is a busy month! I need to make 2 Mothers Day cards and 2 Birthday cards.
The April Challenge Sketch at Your Next Stamp gave me a chance to get one of the Mothers Day cards done.
I used the "Tobi Watering Flowers" Digital Stamp and although it's not a "typical" card layout, I am very happy with how it turned out.

Now the big decision is which "mom" to give it too!

Birthday

After spending most of the day at Scrapfest I was exhausted but happy with my purchases. There are some days when it's good to have a truck! I couldn't play when I got home because I was off to an Easter/Birthday supper with my inlaws. The Birthday part of this was for my BIL who is turning 50.

The inside message was:
" I wanted to give you a nice set of wheels to go over the hill in"
My BIL is a jokster himself so.........

YIPPEEE !!!!!!

After an unseasonably cold and long winter, it's nice to see the snow melting and the first signs of spring! I am not a fan of cold or snow but the positive side to that? More time for card making.

I made this card for High Hopes Rubber Stamps Challenge #213 Hop Along. I was glad my stamp order came before time on this challenge ran out!

Christmas

We are starting to enjoy some warmer temperatures here in Ontario (okay - so some of us had snow this morning) and our Mountains! of snow are slowly disappearing.
I wanted to share my favourite Christmas card that I made this past year.

ENJOY Spring!!!!!

Horses

I try to keep some semi completed cards in my stash.

The note cards below are blank so I can easily add an occasion and personal message to them when they are needed.

I am also known to leave things until the last minute sometimes so having a stash I can turn to in a "crunch" makes things easier for that moment in time anyway........

Crash

Being a horse/animal lover I can't help but LOVE the Crash Stamp from Your Next Stamp.
It makes me smile every time I see it. This stamp is named after my horse so it has fast become a favourite in my ever growing stamp collection.

This stamp is fun when combined with Happy The Horse!

Happy Crafting!

Positive Thoughts And Sunshine

My sister in law is going through chemo. The week after she has had her treatment she is "grounded" - she can't go anywhere and she isn't allowed visitors because her immune system is at zero.

I snail mailed this card for her so she would receive it in her "grounded" week, hoping to bring a little sunshine to her day/week.
