I enjoyed a beautiful day here in Ontario.......from my office window that is!

Today I am posting a card for the Kraftin Kimmies May Krafty Peeks......Day 3 plus a challenge and the challenge is anything goes.

Just For You

It has been a beautiful weekend - finally! And even dare I say........hot! I got the rest of my flowers done which gave me some time to "play" as I call it....in other words - get creative in my scrap room.

I actually walked away from this card a couple of times because it just wasn't coming together. I'm still not sure it has, but I'm going with it.

I added some fringe to this one, just a wee tiny bit to match her boots. The fringe came from an old pony tail holder that had fallen apart.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Stamp: Whimsy Wee Stamps - Amy

Make A Wish

Today I am posting a card that I made for a Whimsy Stamps and Inspiration challenge on Facebook. The challenge is Sparkles.
I will am also posting in Whimsy Monthly Blog Challenge #71 - Two or More Die Cuts.

Personally, I found the challenge to get a picture taken so the sparkles would show up and or not look black! That in itself was truly a challenge.

I used a Whimsy Wee Stamps called Dandelion Girl. I included glitter on the dandelions which I continued into the inside of the card as well although it's kind of hard to see ...........

Card Details

Stamp - Whimsy Wee Stamps - Dandelion Girl
Patterned Paper - MME - All Dolled Up
Spectrum Noir Markers
Memento Ink - Black, London Fog
Creative Time Dies - Fun Stitched Edges
Gems - Unknown
Cricut - Elegant Edges Cartridge
Sentiment - ccomputer - Harrington font

Country Girl

Unlike Saturday, today I was able to plant some of my pots! Unlike Saturday, today was a beautiful, sunny 19 degree day!! I think I may have even got sunburned!

I personally am a country girl at heart. I grew up spending summers on my friends' farms. One had cows that needed milking, another had pigs that needed feeding and cleaning out, but when the chores were done - they each had horses that needed riding. I had no problem helping with chores when that was the reward!

Today I am posting a card I completed to include in Kraftin Kimmie Stamps Challenge #230 - Girly Girl.
To colour match the (paper) doily I dabbed it using ink that matched my colour scheme. The list of products used is below the card.

Card Details

Stamp: Kraftin Kimmie Stamps - Down on the Farm 2
Coloured with Spectrum Noir Markers
Patterned Paper - Carta Bella - Giddy Up, Beary Patch - Sanded Boards
Doily - Dollar Store
Ink (to colour match doily) - Memento - Rose Bud
Sentiment - Cricut - Old West
Cardstock: DCWC, Michaels

Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your day!

Dearest Deer

It is the May 2-4 weekend and I am itching to get out and get my plants into pots and flower beds but given that the temperature was feeling like -1 overnight last night and there was a threat of frost.........the plants will have to wait.

I spent the day outside "preparing" and wishing for warmer temperatures and thinking of the days to come when I will be enjoying my flowers - sweating!

It seems rather ironic that I would choose this digital stamp for my entry into this months challenge at Your Next Stamp Fun Friday Challenge #12 because it is a digital stamp meant for a different time of year.

I guess the positive to using it is......I have one Christmas card made! Yay me!

Stamp - Your Next Stamp- Digital - Tobi's Dearest Deer
Patterned Paper - Bo Bunny - Woodland Winter Collection
Glitter - Hero Arts Prisma (snow drops have glitter)
Flowers - Recollections
Coloured with Spectrum Noir Markers

I chose to use the sketch which is below

I hope you are enjoying your long weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks

I just love this new stamp set from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. This is only one stamp in the set called Down on the Farm 2. I made this for my cousin for something she is helping me with next weekend.
I coloured the horse to resemble one that she owns named Bentley.

I have entered this card into the Kraftin' Kimmies Challenge  on their blog. KKS Sketch Challenge 228 - a photo of the sketch is below.

Our God Daughter is turning 16 this month. She is a tom boy or tom-girl as I like to call her.

I knew  I would use  this stamp when I saw it for her Birthday card - one minute she's posting pictures in a black spaghetti strap dress and heels, and the next minute it's pictures of Ford trucks and cowboys.........oh to be 16 again!

Patterned Paper - K& Company
Crystals - Crystazzi
Spectrum Noir Markers
Border (yellow) - Creative Time Dies

I will mail it to her snail mail. We love you "Bella"
