Whooo Hooo!!! New Release day is finally here! Be sure to head on over to the  High Hopes website see all of the new stamps in this release!

Today I am featuring "Classy Clydesdale" from the new release for my card.

I am a horse lover so I had alot of fun playing with this stamp and I also know a few Clydesdale owners so this is going to be a fun stamp to have in my collection.

Without further ado let me introduce Classy Clydesdale...........

I coloured the horse in classic Clydesdale colours with my Spectrum Noir Markers (list below)  and fussy cut it. The sentiment is computer generated and the saying is from a frame I have in my home. The patterned papers is from Creative Imaginations and some pieces I had on hand.

Garden Fence

It is finally feeling like spring in Ontario! There isn't a minus sign in front of our day time highs - whooo hooo!

For my post today, I am sharing a card I made featuring Garden Fence from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

I coloured the image with alcohol markers and set it on a base I cut from patterned paper by K and Company using the Elegant Edges cartridge from Cricut. The scalloped border is from My Creative Time Dies. White ribbon, yellow checked paper from my stash, and a sentiment printed from my computer help finish everything off.

Spectrum Noir Marker List
Fence: GB8, GB10, EB5
Leaves/Stems: CG1, CG2, DG4
Flowers: LY1, LY2, CT4, GB2, OR1, OR3, LV1, LV2, LV3

I hope you have enjoyed today's post. Thoughts and comments are appreciated.

Pot of Gold

It is finally feeling a little more like spring in Ontario and they are predicting temperatures in the plus' for next week - gasp!

It's minus 4 today without the windchill but given that number is had double digits for the last couple weeks without the windchill - I'll take it!

For my card I used  Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to colour the background on photo paper and then used a hole punch to make my holes - after free drawing the lines for the rainbow (you could use the edge of an oval die cut but I didn't have one big enough).

The paper does stay a little bit sticky feeling even once it's dry so you will want to make sure your work area stays clean.

The fun part about doing this background was you can scribble like a kid to blend the layers and then do touch ups with the blender.

Card Recipe

Spectrum Noir Markers: IB1 IB2 IB3 blender
Photo paper, cardstock, Making Memories Hole punch
Sentiment: computer generated

I hope you have enjoyed my card. I'm off to take my dog for a much needed run in the sun. Have a great day!

Think Spring

Hello my name is Donna and I am honoured and excited to be part of the design team at High Hopes Rubber Stamps. What a talented, fun group of ladies!

For my post today I am sharing  a card featuring Bunny with Tulip and Sign Post

I fussy cut the bunny, added some pop dots and voila!  The sign post is also fussy cut, both are coloured with Spectrum Noir Markers.

The sentiment on the sign was hand printed but this stamp comes with six sentiments that can be used for a number of different themes - how cool is that!

I used an overhead transparency run through my die cutting machine with an icicle border die from Impression Obsession and topped with some snow using Snow Writer by Deco Art.

A light blue chalk pencil gave me just the right colour for a sky background. The snow banks are cut using a My Creative Time die and the little pieces of grass peeking though the snow are cut using the Spring Grass die from YNS. The twine is from American Crafts.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, this card was seriously fun to do! Spring is just around the corner right?!

Thanks for stopping by. Thoughts and comments are appreciated.

My mom saw my first Miss Marissa card and asked me to do one for a very dear friend who's birthday is coming up soon.

This card is quite similar to my first card below but there are a few subtle differences.

The card features Miss Marissa from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. She is fussy cut and put on a homemade background paper I made using a word stamp and an ink pad. The word "happy" is done in the Ombre colouring technique with alcohol markers (list below).
