Snowy Love - Ornament and Shaker Card

The day I made this set, the weather was cool and feeling more like October then August in Ontario.

The perfect temperature to throw on a sweater and get into a winter/Christmas mode... I can't believe I just typed that! I also can't believe it's September already!

My post today features Snowy Love from the Joys of the Seasons new release at High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

I made a shaker card and an ornament with this oh so cute stamp. This could be part of a hostess gift for the Christmas season maybe?

After colouring my two images, I set about making my ornament. There are actually two stamps in the ornament - one on each side - so when it is hung on the tree you are seeing this cutie from both sides (it also covers the marker bled through paper on the back side of the stamp). They are glued together and then set into half of the ornament. The other half of the ornament is put on (it snaps together) and then ribbon and a wooden snowflake with glitter are added to finish it off. The challenge with these ornaments? - getting a good picture!!!!

For the card, I coloured my stamp with alcohol markers, and fussy cut it. The finished card size is 41/2 x 41/2. I cut my cardstock and patterned paper to create my base. I ran a smaller piece of white cardstock through my Big Kick in a snowflake embossing folder and then cut out a circle with a die cut. After adding some foam tape and overhead transparency to create my window, I added beads, snowflakes and sequins. The card is finished off with a computer generated sentiment and a wooden snowflake with glitter.
