Dropping By To Say.....

I have some owl cuteness to share with you today. I love all the cute, pudgy owls and their accessories in the High Hopes Spring 2016 Collection. So many ideas bouncing around in my head!

For my card I used Happy Owl and the co-ordinating SVG file (07), Birthday Hat and Fancy Script Happy Birthday stamps.

Owl Close Up

I started by cutting out the Happy Owl SVG file with my Cricut and then stamped Happy Owl using my Misti. I also "partially" stamped Happy twice more and coloured all my images, including the birthday hat with alcohol markers.

It's hard to see in the picture but I like a little bling so I added some glitter to the tassel on the hat. I added my stamps to my background paper so Happy looks like he is floating down out of the sky with his birthday wishes. The last one is popped up with pop dots.

I created part of the sentiment on my computer and combined it with the Happy Birthday stamp. Lightly pulled apart cotton balls form the clouds.

Blooming Friends

                                  Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans!

Spring finally seems to be here although we did have a chance of wet snow forecast for one morning this week!

I am sharing "Blooming Friends" from the High Hopes Spring 2016 Collection. This cutie could be used for so many occasions - Birthday, Mother's Day, Hello...and so many more. I have chosen not to include a sentiment on this one until I have an occasion to use it for.

I started by colouring my image with alcohol markers and cutting it out with a stitched rectangle die. I used the next size up (die) and cut the patterned paper to go behind my image. The banners were cut with fishtail banner dies. A banner with a butterfly, some flowers and glitter gumdrops are the finishing touches for my card. I added Cotton Candy Stickles to the butterfly wings and the flower centres for a little bit of bling.

Just Married

It's Thursday already! Wow time sure does fly! I hope you have all enjoyed some sun and beautiful weather lately - I know I have!!!!

I kept the layout simple on this card because I really wanted the stamp to stand out. The sentiment and message will be included on the inside when I'm ready to give it.

I have neighbours who are getting married this summer, so the "Just Married" stamp from the Spring 2016 Collection from High Hopes is perfect!  The Groom to be owns a red antique tractor and races a tractor trailer and tractors so I purposely cut my image out on a slight angle. He will get a kick out of the fact that the "groom" is "driving" on two wheels.

My stamp is coloured with alcohol markers (list below) and cut out with a Stitched Rectangle die from Your Next Stamp.
To create my frame, I cut out a piece of white card stock and then used the same stitched rectangle die to cut out my window.
The embossed frame around the square was done by measuring the size of square I wanted and marking it with pencil on the back side of my frame.
Then I put it on my Scor-Pal and scored out my frame and popped it up with pop dots.
To achieve the blue sky around our happy couple, I left the paper with the image on it in the die and taped the die to the paper (on the backside). Then I took my sponge, ink and dauber and added the ink. It is very hard to see in the picture but the bumper, mirror and hearts on the Just Married sign are all done with Silver Wink of Stella, and Glossy Accents were added to the mirror.

Owl Always Love You

Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans! Tomorrow is Fri-Yay!

My post today features a number of stamps from the new Spring 2016 Collection. I have used "Sweet Heart Owls, Blossom Tree Branch, Small bow and Owl Always Love You". The accessories in this new release are so cute for these cute, pudgey owls!

Our Sweet Hearts are having a quiet, loving moment by the light of the moon.

I started by colouring my image with alcohol markers. My poor manicure scissors were feeling neglected since I have been using the new svg files for this release so I broke them out and fussy cut my owls and tree branch.
I cut a "moon" out using a circle die and pounced some yellow ink on it a few shades darker then my cardstock to add some dimension.
The sentiment comes as one long piece but I chose to stamp it two separate times which allowed me to cut it apart and mount it on my card. I stamped and fussy cut the small bow twice - once for her bow and once for his bow tie.

Stamps: Sweet Heart Owls (TT038), Blossom Tree Branch (UU003), Small Bow (FF008), Owl Always Love You (HH020) High Hopes

Soccer Star

Hello One Crazy Stamper fans! It's Thursday and my turn to post some inspiration for you. I hope you have been enjoying the posts from the design team using the new Spring 2016 Collection from High Hopes.

My post today features "Soccer Star". How fun is this stamp!? I used to play soccer growing up so I love this stamp!

I started by cutting out the svg file for this image with my Cricut. Using my Misti, I lined up my image and stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Soccer Star is coloured with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and I edged the image with a tuxedo black Memento pen. Her laces are done with a white gel pen and she is popped up with pop dots. Patterned paper from Doodlebug gave me some fun, bright colours to play with. The grass, star and clouds are cut with  dies (see below). My card is finished off with black gumdrops.

Stamps: Soccer Star (TT036) Soccer Star SVG file - High Hopes

Everything Grows

It's a happy Thursday again and that means it's my turn to post on the High Hopes Stamps blog.

Today I am sharing the oh so cute "Fragrant Blooms" and "Everything Grows" sentiment from the Spring 2016 Collection new release. I absolutely love the pig tails on this cutie don't you?!

This is the perfect birthday or Mother's Day stamp for the gardener in your life - mine is my mother in law.

I am in love with the SVG files sold separately for each image and sentiment in this new release. I started by cutting both the sentiment and stamp files along with the background for each with my Cricut. The stamp is coloured with alcohol markers and mounted onto the background. The patterned paper is new to my "collection" from Prima - I really liked the almost country feel to some of these papers. The image itself is popped up with pop dots and I added clear Wink of Stella to the flowers. Some lace ribbon and cream gumdrops ( they look pink but they're cream) to finish off my card.

Slam Dunk Birthday

Happy Thursday OCS fans! I have a masculine card to share with you today featuring "Slam Dunk" from the High Hopes Spring 2016 Collection new release. I hope you get a chance to pop by the website and check out this release. It is full of fun, cute images and new svg files. I chose to make this as an easel card and popped the image up with pop dots.

Bottom

I started by cutting the svg file for this stamp and then stamping it using my Misti. I created my easel base and made a "crowd" in the background using my SN pencils. I wanted them to be "blurred" out like they are in the distance. I chose some wood paper and after googling the lines on a basketball court, added them to my paper. The sentiment was created on my computer. A few black gumdrops finish off my card.

My Heart Sings

I hope you have had a chance to pop over to the High Hopes blog, website and facebook page to see the Spring 2016 Collection new release! Not only does it have fun, cute images and sentiments this collection has SVG files for purchase as well - so fun and these files are giving my manicure scissors a break!

Today I am sharing "Sweet Melody" and the sentiment "Heart Sing". I chose to make this cutie with her puppy into a shaker card.

Close Up

I started by cutting out the svg file for this image and then stamped it using my Misti - best stamping tool ever - and coloured it with alcohol markers. After choosing my paper from Spring (6x6) from Echo Park, I traced a heart shape and cut it out and cut out the background svg files for both the stamp and the sentiment. I backed the heart with some music paper from the Woodland Winter Collection from Bo Bunny. The sentiment was also cut with the svg files and stamped using the Misti. I added some foam tape and sequins and put my shaker card together. It is hard to see in the picture but her flute is done with Silver Wink of Stella for a little bling and the card is finished off with blue raspberry gumdrops from YNS.

Rock On

Happy April 1 and High Hopes Spring 2016 Collection New Release day! This release is FULL of fun, cute, awesome images - be sure to pop over to the website and take a look.

My post today features "Rocking Out" and "Rock On". Who knew Gabriel is a drummer and has his very own album too! Today we find him jamming in his warehouse space and having a great time doing it!

This new release also has SVG files (sold separately) for each of the images and sentiments so for this card I could give my manicure scissors a break. After cutting out my image, I coloured it with alcohol markers and mounted it on the background SVG file I had cut. The sentiment is cut out with the SVG files as well. I tore some paper from the So Rad paper pad (Simple Stories) 6x6 collection and added some brick pattern embossed cardstock to give it my "warehouse" feel. A half circle was cut in the top to allow the record inside to peek out. My card is finished off with White, Orange and Blueberry Gumdrops from Your Next Stamp.

Card Recipe
Stamps: Rocking Out (TT025), Rock On (FF005) - High Hopes Stamps
SVG Files - High Hopes Stamps (sold separately)
Brick Pattern Embossing folder - Darice
Patterned Paper: So Rad - Simple Stories
White, Orange and Blueberry Gumdrops - Your Next Stamp
