Milton's Pine

Milton has found the perfect Christmas tree! He is quite proud of himself and looking so manly in his plaid shirt and blue jeans. He sure has picked a beautiful winter day to search for the perfect tree!

I have a secret crush on Milton - he is just so cute! After stamping and colouring him with alcohol markers I hand fussy cut him and ran a black marker around the edges to get any white I had missed. I thought some buffalo plaid paper was perfect for this outdoor themed winter stamp. I found a blue wintery paper for my sky and added some snow drifts and pine trees to create my scene. Some matching twine and a few enamel dots finish off my card.

Just Because Dragon

Dreamy Dragon has been in my stamp stash for awhile now and today I am taking a break from Christmas cards to colour this cutie up. I like to colour something completely different when I have creative block, it often helps kick start the creative train.
I like to have "just because" type cards in my stash to send to friends or family members who may need a little pick me up.
Dreamy Dragon is so relaxed and peaceful and just makes me smile. I hope he brings a smile to whom ever I end up sending him to as well.

After colouring the stamp with alcohol markers and Prisma pencils I cut him out using an oval die. I cut a second die for the background and off set it slightly from the main image. I chose patterned paper from Lawn Fawn and inked all the edges with antique linen distress ink to make the layers pop a little.
I will probably end up mailing this card so my embellishments of ribbon, shaped sprinkles and flowers helped keep my design mailable.
Twinkle Stickles (hard to see in the photo) were added to the flower centres and the dreamy dots around the dragon. I cut a cloud die and used baby blue ink to create my clouds for the background.

Warm Penguin Wishes

Anyone else have a sibling who told you this was a good idea? I have two brothers and I can vividly remember my older brother convincing me to do this....on a metal toboggan!!!!!
This stamp sure brings back some fun memories and it may just be the perfect card for my older brother this year don't you?

I coloured this fun stamp with alcohol markers and cut it out using a fun handstitched die. I chose some paper from Photo Play for this one. I have been making a lot of Christmas cards lately and wanted something different from the traditional colours of Christmas. I added some Stickles to his had and some Nuvo drops to the icicles for just a touch of bling. A silver snowflake charm from my stash, ribbon and enamel dots finish off my card.

Special Friends

This trio of penguins are having some fun trying to get the perfect group selfie. They make me giggle especially the one in the middle with his hat over his eyes......that would be me with my friends!
I have what I call my peeps or my posse - a couple dear, amazing friends who I can 100% be myself with and who always have my back.
This stamp and sentiment remind me of them and the fun we have when we are together .... and the schenanigans too!

After stamping this fun trio of friends I coloured them with alcohol markers and hand fussy cut them leaving a thin white edge. I added some Stickles to the hat and some clear sparkle pen to the ear muffs and dots on the scarf. A fun photo frame die was perfect for my selfie theme and I added some fun winter branch dies and a bow for fun. I stamped the sentiment and mounted it on matching card stock. Some matching enamel dots finish off my card.

The Magic Of Christmas

This week I am having some fun with the Three Pane Christmas stamp from High Hopes. I love the cute Santa, Reindeer and Snowman - there smiles are contagious aren't they?
Christmas is a magical time and it will be fun to give this card to someone on my card giving list!

After stamping this adorable trio I coloured them with alcohol markers and added some bling to Santa's hat with Stickles. Next I cut the pleated circle die for the background and cut it in half. The stamp fit perfectly across the middle of the die but I wanted the circle to be a little bit smaller. From there, I stamped the sentiment and held my breath as I cut it in half. All of the paper and the circle die are edged with antique linen distress ink to give them a little extra pop.
I added some snowflakes and crystals to add what I am hoping is a bit of a magical feel. Some twine finishes off my card.

Santa's Surprise

Growing up the rule was when the presents were put under the tree we could  look at them but not touch them and definitely not pick them up! I can remember doing "watch for Mom duty" numerous times while my brothers picked up presents and tried to guess what was inside by the weight and shape.
Thankfully they usually didn't guess correctly and still got surprised by their gifts on Christmas morning.
"Santa's Surprise" paired with the "Peeking, Poking, Shaking" sentiment  brought back some fun memories and a few chuckles as I created my card.

After stamping Santa I coloured him with alcohol markers and cut him out using an oval die. I added some sparkly Stickles to his hat and coat trim - I love adding sparkle to my Christmas cards!
I chose paper from Echo Park for my base and cut the pieces to fit my design. Some fishtail banners - one in matching glitter paper - were perfect to add some detail. Matching sparkly ribbon and my fav - gumdrops - finish off my card.

Even puppies have a Christmas wish list for Santa and this new "Puppy Wishes" stamp from the new Christmas release at High Hopes is no different.
He has put on his favourite Christmas hat and bow and is ready to spread some Christmas cheer! He is hoping Santa will notice and bring him everything on his  list!

I coloured this cutie with alcohol markers and added some Stickles to his hat. He is hand fussy cut and I used a black marker around the edge to get any white I may have missed and popped him up with some 3D foam pop dots. I added a smidge of shading using Prismacolor Pencils.
The sentiment was stamped and added to some matching cardstock. Patterned paper from Echo Park and Kaisercraft helped my design come together.
Gold sequins, matching ribbon and a wood heart coloured with gold Wink of Stella finish off my card.
