Really!!!

It seems Bob isn't sure about having another Birthday! I wonder if he stopped counting on his 29th Birthday like I did?! I gave him a double layer chocolate cake so I hope that helps.
July is a big Birthday month in my family and Birthday Bob from High Hopes is perfect for the masculine cards I will need for the "older" people on my list.

I coloured Bob with alcohol markers and hand fussy cut him leaving a thin white edge. I added some clear sparkle pen to the balloon, candles and flames and Stickles to his hat for a bit of Birthday sparkle.
I set him aside and created my card base by layering patterned paper from Lawn Fawn and adding some twine.
After stamping the sentiment - which is one long sentiment, I cut the word "really" off to put at the top of the card.

The circle behind him was cut using two circle dies from matching cardstock and I added Bob with some 3D foam pop dots.  Enamel dots finish off my card.

High Flying Ace

It's a bird! It's a plane!......errr nope it's Lg. Flying Ace from High Hopes Rubber Stamps getting ready to hit the skies in his vintage plane. Ace is perfect for Just Because, Sending Smiles, and Birthday cards to name a few!
He is so fun to colour and just made me smile with his toothy grin and big thumbs up!

After colouring Ace with alcohol markers, I hand fussy cut him and ran a black marker around the edge to get any white I had missed. Paper layers from an old Echo Park pad were perfect with fun modern and vintage airplanes and a pop of orange. I used a rectangle die to cut out the background to go behind Ace using a rectangle die and added some stitched clouds.
I wanted an airplane element to put in the sky but I couldn't find anything airplane in my stash - gasp! So I took a piece of the airplane paper and fussy cut a vintage plane to put in the sky. I went with the vintage style, open cockpit plane because it ties in perfectly with Ace's scarf, helmet and goggles. Some enamel dots finish off my card.

Bear Family Blessing

I am blessed! I have a place to call home and a family who loves me  - well, my brothers would say the put up with me
There are some miles between myself and two of my siblings and one that lives close to me but I know that no matter what if I needed them they would be there for me and I for them.
Angel Bear Family from High Hopes gives me the chance to share some love with my family members until we can be together again.  I love the sentiment called Home Family Blessing - perfect to celebrate family! As the saying goes - if you have family you have everything.

I coloured up two versions of this stamp - I couldn't figure out which colour combo I wanted to do - has anyone else had that happen?
For the yellow version, I fussy cut the image leaving a thin white edge and cut a doily to put them on and patterned paper from Doodlebug and Lawn Fawn.
For the blue version I cut the image out with a classic rectangle die and used patterned paper from Stampin' Up. I added Stickles to the wings on both images to add the touch of bling I like to add if I can.
Both cards have different designs but are both finished off with a sentiment, ribbon and enamel dots.

Soo-eet Hogs and Kisses

Sharing some soo-eet hogs and kisses with the adorable "Soo-eet Petunia and Audrey" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.
I have a very good friend who loves pigs and wants to get one some day so this stamp is perfect for her - I think I will use it for her Birthday card!
In the mean time, this card will be kept in my stash until someone in my life needs to be sent some hogs and kisses in a card.

After colouring up the stamp with alcohol markers I cut it out using the pleated circle die from Gina Marie Designs. I cut a matching piece of card stock to go behind it - I like the colour peaking through the die. Patterned paper from MFT and Julie Nutting helped create the country feel I was looking for.
I cut my first layer of gingham to fit my card base and then cut a banner die to go behind the image. I traced the outside of the banner die on matching card stock and cut it to fit.
The flower paper is actually a scrap piece I had that was cut in half and mounted on card stock and fit perfectly on the sides of the banner - getting them lined up is always a trick.
I stamped the sentiment and mounted it on matching card stock and finished my card off with some cotton lace ribbon from my stash and enamel dots.
