Not Even A Moose

T'was a couple months before Christmas and my craft desk is full
of stamps, glitter, cardstock, patterned paper and bling - how bout you?
This week I would like to introduce you to  Stirrin' Milton

I'm not sure why but Milton just cracks me up!!! Maybe it's those knobby knees.......

After choosing my sentiment I had the Twas the night before Christmas poem going through my head so I decided that I would do a peaceful winter night ink blended background for Milton.......he is in his fuzzy bunny slippers after all!
I stamped Milton, coloured him with alcohol markers and hand fussy cut him using cuticle scissors. Some navy blue cardstock and glitter gumdrops finish off this simple card layout.

Heaven and Nature Sing

Welcome back High Hopes fans! My post this week features Harp Angel from the new Seasons of Celebration Release
I have chosen to colour her in some non traditional Christmas colours. This stamp is versatile as I can see using it being used for Valentines' Day too...hmmm....another card added to my "to do" list .  My Mom's best friend loves angels on her Christmas cards so I can see an "order" coming up for this stamp especially because my Mom was with me when I coloured it and said the stamp would be perfect for her bestie!

After colouring this sweetie with alcohol markers I cut her out using a stitched square die. I added some Stickles to her wings and silver sparkle pen to her harp - I love a bit of bling on my cards! Some paper from MME was perfect for my non traditional colours and a simple silver bow and some silver gumdrops finish off my card.

Reindeer Wishes

Welcome back to another Anything Goes Challenge at Whimsy Stamps. This month I am still working away at my Christmas cards. When I saw the reindeer set by Tracy Wray, I knew they were perfect for one of my nephews Christmas cards.

After printing my stamp to the size I wanted I coloured it with Spectrum Noir Alcohol makers. I cut my patterned paper to fit my 5x5 card size and glued it down. The frantage I used on the circle around my stamp went a little crazy - who knew it would stick where there's no versa mark ink?! but I decided to use the image anyway since it looks like he is in a snowfall. I cut and layered some snowflakes from the retired snowflake border die and added them to some leaves from Crissy Armstrong's new Christmas Branches die set. Some sparkly gumdrops, stickles on his hat and a twine bow finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Reindeer 1 - Digital Sentiments - Whimsy Digital Stamps
Sentiment: Holiday Mini Sentiments - Whimsy Clear Stamps
Christmas Branches Dies Set - Whimsy Stamps

Mistletoe Kisses?

Poor Tink! He is looking all charming and adorable but his only Christmas wish has always been to get a kiss under the mistletoe. I even added some freckles to add to his charm but for some reason no one wants to give him a kiss
Meet Hopeful Tink from High Hopes Rubber Stamps - he is adorable isn't he?! Any skunk lovers out there who will grant Tink's wish?

After colouring this charming skunk with alcohol markers, I cut him out using a stitched oval die. I added some bling to his hat pom pom using Stickles and some clear Spectrum sparkle pen to the mistletoe berries. The sentiment was masked off, stamped and the question mark was added with a black marker. I added this adorableness to some fun patterned paper, added some ribbon and gumdrops to help this cutie get a kiss.

Reindeer Love

Am I the only one that thought it would be a good idea to have a pet reindeer as a child? I mean really - you could train them to deliver your presents first right?!

It's all about Reindeer Love and non traditional winter/Christmas colours for this weeks card.

I started by colouring my stamp with alcohol markers and then hand fussy cut it using cuticle scissors. I like to add a bit of bling to my cards so some Stickles on her hat, glitter snow on the trees and clear sparkle pen on the reindeer's nose helped me add just a touch. Next I cut out my side step card base, trees and snow drifts to create my scene. I masked off part of the sentiment and using my Misti, got perfect placement - love my Misti! A silver bell and matching glittery ribbon finish off my card.

Stamp: Reindeer Love - High Hopes Rubber Stamps

Hittin' The Slopes

We are hittin' the slopes with "Penguin Skier" from the new digital stamp release at Whimsy Stamps.

I love Crissy Armstrong's penguins - they are always up to something and this month is no exception as we get ready for winter and snow!

After printing my stamp and colouring it with alcohol markers, I hand fussy cut it leaving a thin white border. Glossy accents on his goggles and liquid applique on his hat give some fun textures. Next I printed my digital papers and laid out my easel card design. I added two different sentiments and added some snow hills cut my the stitched border die trio and trees to create my scene. Some twine and a few gumdrops finish off my card.

It's Cold Outside

Have you seen the Season of Celebration new release?! It has a whopping 20 new stamps and they are sooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!
The design team will be sharing Christmas/Winter Fun projects with you this month and this release is perfect for this theme. It is also the theme for our challenge this month so happy shopping and then come play along!

My inspiration card introduces you to Winter Owl - how adorable is he in his big argyle hat and scarf!?!

I started by colouring my stamp with alcohol markers and then cutting it out with a circle die. I added some blue Frantage on the edges for a little bit of bling. Some stardust Stickles were perfect to add bling to his hat and scarf, and some glittery snow on the branch he's sitting on finish off my touches of bling....although I did add some clear Spectrum sparkle pen to the ornaments..
The Tim Holtz mini greens die set had the perfect branches to match the stamp so I cut some out and added them. Icicles, ribbon and enamel dots finish off my card.

Little Drummer Boy

I can't believe it is October 1st already but here we are. This month's challenge at One Crazy Stamper is Christmas/Winter Fun and the new Seasons of Celebration release from High Hopes Rubber Stamps has the perfect stamps to come play along and get your Christmas cards started

My inspiration post features Little Drummer Boy and Friends and the Par Rum Pa Pum Pum sentiment. This is one of my favourite stamps from this release. Not only is the little drummer too cute but so are his animal friends!

After colouring my stamp with alcohol markers, I cut it out using a stitched square die. I ordered the new Echo Park Christmas paper from OCS and it came just in time for me to use it on this card. I love the off white, gold, burgundy colour combo.
I masked off part of the sentiment and used my Misti to perfectly place it on the cardstock I had cut out for it. I added a screen print piece of sheet music, some gold trimmed ribbon, music notes and gumdrops to finish off my card.
