No Coffee?

The temperature where I live today is 26 degrees feeling like 31 with humidity. What's a gal to do when it's too hot to work outside?  Play in her cool craft room of course!

The card I am sharing today is made for the current challenge at Your Next Stamp (the link is below). I used the super cute set from Your Next Stamp called "Coffee Right Meow" with the matching die. The new "little notes die set" as perfect for this card as well.

I based my card on the sketch (below) substituting the circle shape for  staggered rectangle shapes instead.

I stamped my image onto Copic XpressIt cardstock using my Misti and coloured with alcohol markers. Graph paper was cut using the "Little Notes Die" set as well as the clip board and word "notes". The sentiment is from stamps included with the set (I added the punctuation). I used a tuxedo black marker from Memento and ran it around the edge of my cat to help it stand out and mounted the cat with pop dots. I added Silver Wink of Stella to the clipboard clip since they are usually shiny.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Coffee Right Meow and matching die - Your Next Stamp
Dies: Little Notes Die set, Stitched Rectangles Die - Your Next Stamp, Creative Time Die
Love Me Some Latte Gumdrops - Your Next Stamp
Patterned Paper: The Best of MME, Numbers -Echo Park
American Craft Twine, Recollections cardstock, Memento Tuxedo Black ink and marker, Forever In Time Pop Dots, Silver Wink of Stella, Close to Cocoa ink by Stampin' Up

I am entering this card in the Your Next Stamp Sketch Challenge #40.

Special Request Besties

After my original post of the "My Sunshine" card, I got a special request from a good friend of mine.
She sent me a photo of her grand daughter with her new kitten and asked me to duplicate this card with colours to match the photo as close as possible. I was honoured! and terrified at all the same time!

Close Up

I wanted to use a different colour combination for her dress this time that would match the blond hair and the more brown/tan coloured cat, so I chose a bright blue. I added white dots to her cheeks and her socks just for fun. With the picture of the grand daughter I had she is young and seems to fun!

After colouring and fussy cutting my image, I cut out a doily from YNS for the sun. All the edges of the patterned paper from Basic Grey and Forever In Time are inked with pumpkin pie ink from Stampin' Up. American Crafts Twine, a flower from Prima and some sparkly gumdrops finish off my card.

Player Photo Day

Happy Thursday OCS Fans! It is the last Thursday in May already but there is still time for you to play along in this month's challenge!

My inspiration post for today is made with "Dribble Master" from the Spring Collection 2016 from High Hopes. Today we find our dribble master getting her player photo taken and she's the MVP for the team this year! I will add the sentiment inside when I have an occasion to use my card.

Close Up

I started by cutting the matching svg file for the stamp with my Cricut, stamped it using my Misti and coloured her with SN alcohol markers. A film strip and polaroid die cut were added to from my background. The patterned paper is from the 6x6 Life Documented pad from Simple Stories. I added some blue brackets from a Quickutz label and the MVP sticker is from Paper House. The edges are inked with Studio G ink. I added some sparkle with the Give Thanks for Sparkle gumdrops from Your Next Stamp.

Get Well Nurse

Victoria Day weekend means I get an extra day off and after doing a little gardening decided to play in my craft space. I feel a little guilty because it is 22 degrees and sunny today but I was out in the sun for part of the day.

I purchased the Get Well set by Art Impressions at Michaels a few weeks ago and have been itching to get it inked up. This set is so fun and I had a hard time deciding which card to do first!

I coloured the nurse with alcohol markers and fussy cut her out. A new die set called Little Notes Die set from Your Next Stamp was the perfect set for this stamp......after all patient charts are kept on clipboards by their bed :) The nurse is popped up with pop dots.
The patterned paper is from MME, and it is hard to see in the photo but the needle tip and stethascope are done with Silver Wink of Stella and her earrings are done with Gold Wink of Stella. A few sparkly gumdrops finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Get Well - Art Impressions
Patterned Paper: Now and Then "Izzy" - MME

Twisting The Night Away

Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans! We're one day closer to Fri-YAY, a night when girlfriends often go out to a night club and let their hair down. Personally, I'm usually in my pj's by 9 p.m. but I used to .... honest I did!

I tried a new card layout this week using "Shake Your Booty" and "Don't Stop The Music" from the Spring 2016 Collection new release. Since our girls are twisting the night away, my card base is a Twisted Easel.

Close Up

This card was kind of hard to take a full shot of but I hope you get the idea.

I started by cutting out the girls and sentiment with the matching SVG files, both 07 & 14 - one for the stamp and one for the background. I coloured them using SN alcohol markers an added silver Wink of Stella for some bling - we know there has to be bling for a night out right!?!

A screen print provided some music notes which are mounted on paper from Bo Bunny and MME. To complete my idea, I used a clear ball off a piece of jewellery for my Disco light. The girls are popped up on pop dots.

My Sunshine

Happy Thursday OCS Fans! I hope you're all having a great week!

I don't know about you, but every once and awhile a stamp reminds you of a friend, situation or a fun time in your life.

That happened for me this week when I used the "Besties" stamp. One of my dear childhood friends has an orange striped cat she has had for 16 years. Her name is Sunshine and she rules the roost over the dog!

Close Up

I have to be honest, I didn't want to try colouring the stripes on the cat, but I dis succeed with leaving her white belly and paw tips. The card in my head was working out fine until my favourite outlining marker ran out of ink a 1/4 of the way through outlining the stamp - grrrr!!! I ended up fussy cutting the stamp when I hadn't intended too!

Laughed So Hard..

The weather is really cold and rainy where I live today and I have a thousand and one things to do but I decided I needed some crafty time first!

This set called "Laughing" from the Art Impressions Girlfriend line just cracks me up!! This will end up being my best friends Birthday card (and yes there is a reason I used this sentiment!) shhh don't tell her :)

I started by colouring the stamp with SN alcohol markers and then fussy cut it. I used patterned paper from Doodlebug and die cut a doily to put behind the girls. Some pop dots behind the fussy cut image add some dimension to my card. Ribbon, a butterfly charm and some silver glitter gumdrops finish off my card.

Card Recipe

Stamp: Laughing - Art Impressions
Patterned Paper: Spring Garden - Doodlebug
Ribbon: Celebrate It
Silver Glitter Gumdrops: YNS
Doily: Doily Trio Two Set - YNS
Banner Die: Fishtail Banner Dies - YNS

Owl Helloooo

Happy Thursday OCS Fans!

I hope you're all having a good week and enjoying the sounds of Spring and hopefully seeing some sun.
This week's post is sharing Waving Owl, one of the cute, pudgy owls from the new release at High Hopes Stamps and the Hellooo sentiment.

I started by cutting Waving Owl with my Cricut using the svg file (07), then stamping it using my Misti and coloured with my alcohol markers. I cut my light blue cardstock and embossed it using a Polka Dot embossing folder and added some white cardstock puffy clouds. Waving Owl is waving so I mounted him with an action wobble so he wiggles and jiggles when the card is moved - so fun!

Road Trip Selfie

It's Thursday and my turn to share another super cute stamp from the High Hopes Spring 2016 Collection. Meet "Sally Takes A Selfie".

Today we find Sally on a road trip to the Rocky Mountains. Of course she had to stop and take a selfie in front of them.

Sally is cut out using the SVG files for both the stamp (07) and the background (14) and stamped using my Misti - love my Misti! I coloured her using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.
My challenge to myself was to use a different hair colour then my "go to's" like blond or brown - I really like the red tones with this combination. The Rocky Mountains were stamped and coloured leaving just a peak of snow on top of a few of them.
The sentiment is also from the new release and cut with the matching SVG file (07) and added to a polaroid die cut. Gold Wink of Stella was added to her heart necklace and the flash of her camera - a girl's gotta have a little bling! A white gel pen was used to add some fun polka dots to her bow and socks and an alcohol marker was used for her freckles.

Hello

   Welcome Back High Hopes Fans!

I hope you have been enjoying all of the awesome cards and projects the design team has been sharing from the Spring 2016 Collection new release.

I have nieces, nephews and a god daughter who like many adults I know have their phone on them 24/7 - I mean who doesn't now a days...I admit I do!
"On The Phone" is the perfect stamp for almost any occasion for the teen, preteen or many adults in your life. The sentiment will be added on the inside of this card once I have an occasion to use if for.

The stamp is coloured with alcohol markers and it's hard to see in the picture but I added some clear Wink of Stella to the phone for a bit of sparkle. I used Stitched Oval Dies to cut her out and then placed a light turquoise oval behind. I felt like the word paper from the Life Documented 6x6 pad from Simple Stories was perfect for this card. Some ribbon and some sparkly gumdrops finish off the card.

Puppy Love

Happy Thursday OCS Fans!

Puppy Love is one of my favourite stamps from the High Hopes Spring 2016 Collection release. I love the whole release, but sometimes there is a stamp.. or..two..or three that become a fast favourite.
This little girl with her dog is just tooo cute! I have a little dog but this big dog reminds me of my neighbours St. Bernard who when she sees me will come running over and plop herself down on my foot - just to get "some lovin'" as her owner says.......puppy love and snuggles are the best!

I started by cutting Puppy Love and the background out with my Cricut using the svg files (07 and 14) and then stamping it using my Misti. I stamped my sentiment at the same time with faded jeans distress ink and mounted it on Bazzill cardstock.
The skirt and bow are paper pieced from some denim paper I had in my stash. To be totally honest, I had coloured the skirt and bow and didn't like my colour combo...what's a gal to do besides recolour the whole thing? well, paper piecing worked this time lol.
I cut my centre step card base from a pattern in an old Card Maker magazine and added patterned paper. Faded jeans distress ink was used to add some flourishes to the paper. Denim coloured ribbon - love this ribbon - and some sparkly navy blue gumdrops are the finishing touches.

Tiny Dancer

Hello OCS Fans! I hope you're having a great weekend!
A new month means a new challenge here at One Crazy Stamper and this month it's Anything Goes!

My post features "Miss Katie" and "Don't Stop The Music" from the High Hopes Spring Collection 2016 Collection.

The inspiration for this card came from my child hood. My friends and I all had to have a jewelry box that had a ballerina inside ( I might be showing my age here). There was a wind up on the bottom and when you wound it up and opened the lid with the mirror the ballerina twirled around and around.

I have tried to imitate this jewelry box by making a Drawer Easel Card (tutorial here) my first time trying this style of card.
I started by cutting out Miss Katie and my sentiment svg files with my Cricut and stamped them using my Misti. Miss Katie is coloured with alcohol markers. I followed the tutorial to form my box, added patterned paper and then formed the easel card for the top.
Next I cut out a piece of Heidi Swapp toner paper with a die and added silver foil to create my mirror. Miss Katie has a piece of chipboard type paper behind her in an "L" shape to help her stand. Clear Wink of Stella, glitter gumdrops and a rose finish off my card.
