Transmitting Wishes

It's easy to transmit some fun Birthday wishes with "Robot In A Rocket" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. This fun stamp is perfect for a masculine themed card for someone on your Birthday card giving list. I have a few nephews that would love to receive this card - I may have to make more!
I stepped out of my box and made a galaxy background paper - for the first time ever - and it was sooo much fun to get my fingers inky!

I coloured up my robot and rocket with alcohol markers and fussy cut it using cuticle scissors. I added some silver Stickles to the "wings" and window around the robot. I set that aside and using inks and white acrylic paint I made my background paper. This is the first time I have ever tried this and I can see doing more in my future!
I didn't have a moon stamp so I cut a circle and added some ink to it in splotches to hopefully make it look like a moon.
I added the stamp with 3D foam dots for some dimension, stamped and added the sentiment and finished off this CAS design with a few enamel dots.

More Bubbles

It's all about blowing bubbles this week with the adorable "Dwight" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.
On the weekend my little three year old neighbour came over for a visit. He brought his "leaf blower" with him which is a battery operated bubble blower and his lawn mower. After he mowed my lawn with his popping mower he blew off my lawn with his "leaf blower". He was giggling from his toes when the bubbles surrounded my dog and I and he could hardly contain his laughter when they landed on my hair and popped. That was the funniest thing for him that day...... I could still hear his laugh as I coloured up Dwight.

Here's hoping your day is filled with more bubbles and giggles then troubles!

After colouring him up with alcohol markers, I cut him out using a rectangle die and trimmed him to fit. I set him aside and cut some patterned paper from Lawn Fawn. This is one of those cards that was in my head one way ......and came out another way - ever had that happen? Some simple ribbon and enamel dots finish off my card.

Group Hug

I admit it - I love giving hugs and I am missing my peeps! I'm sure many of you feel the same way with this social distancing and isolation we have going on.
The "Group Hug Bears" stamp is a perfect way for me to send a hug in a card to my peeps until I can physically give all of the big squishy hugs that are building up in my system.

I stepped out of my comfort zone for this one and designed an A2 size card. I wanted this card to be "soft" and feel like a hug in a card.
After colouring up this adorable stamp with alcohol markers, I cut it out using a rectangle die. Next I placed a curvy scallop edge die along the bottom on a bit of an angle and ran it through my Big Kick. I took the remaining cut off piece and decided to stamp my sentiment on it for something different. Some heart paper from MFT was perfect for my hug card and some ribbon and enamel dots finish it off.

Half The Fun

I had so many fun memories pop in to my head while I was colouring this stamp! Whether it was road trips with my family or my crafty friends, there was always some kind of schenanigans that ensued and kept me chuckling while colouring.
From fun games played with my siblings to hilarious things like construction pylons jumping out in front of the car, the end result is half the fun - if not more - is getting there!
Even though this stamp isn't showing a road trip in a vehicle, it reminds me that no matter how long it takes we eventually get there and have some fun along the way.

I coloured up this fun stamp with alcohol markers and hand fussy cut it. I should have left a thing white edge at least around the carrot string....we may or many not have had a minor carrot string incident . Next I created my scene with a left over piece of watercolor paper, some puffy clouds, grass tufts and a fun little sun peaking out from behind the clouds.
I stamped the sentiment and mounted it on some matching cardstock and finished off my card with some gumdrops.
