Reindeer Training

Yes, I am still sharing Christmas cards lol. As soon as I saw this stamp, I knew I had to have it!

This stamp is perfect for a very good friend of mine who owns the farm I boarded my horse at. She trains horses as well as the boarding side of the business so she will appreciate the "in training" part of this image.

The idea for this card has bounced around in my head for quite a while. Thankfully I don't exchange gifts with my friend until after Christmas, which has given me a little time to make sure this card is exactly what I had in my head. I think it may be my favourite of all my Christmas cards this year.

For this card I created the "scene" separately and then fussy cut the image - yes, my cuticle scissors got a work out but I am very happy with how the finished card came out.

I used pop dots to adhere this cute little guy to the card.

Mr. Frosty

Another Christmas card, another new stamp played with!

My boss asks me what I want for Christmas so.........let's just say I have alot of new things I have already received, and even more coming!

The first order was a priority though - refills for my markers! Thankful for a generous boss to say the least.

Introducing ......drum roll please..........Mr. Frosty (click the link)- available from Whimsy Stamps.

I am quite happy with how this card turned out! I have a few different colour versions to complete but overall I am very happy with it.

I want to take this time to wish all of my followers a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and Happy New Year!

I appreciate all of your support and comments and I am looking forward to a new year with new craft challenges and cards that make people smile!

Merry Christmas

I have a couple more Christmas cards to share today.

Nothing like leaving it until the last minute! I have had alot of fun playing with my new stamp sets - I hope the people receiving the cards get a giggle or two out of them.

I think this card will be sent to my niece in Vancouver.....but I'm not sure yet lol. She calls me her "crazy aunt" so being a day or two or seven days late with a card is something she is used to. I think secretly she kinda likes getting something after Christmas too..........

For my background on this card, I used chalk pencils because I didn't have a patterned paper I liked, and to be honest - I am terrified to try colouring a sky background with my alcohol markers!

It is however one of my crafty goals for the new year :)

Snow Fun

Welcome to my newest followers - Ret, Laine and Ellie!!!! It's great to have you follow along :)

Today I am sharing my first ever Slider card.

"Waddles" slides up and down the track - yes I had way too much fun playing with him when I was done.

It took some practice and I had glue up to my eyeballs but I'm happy with how it turned out. Of course, I see a few things I will "tweak" for the next one but overall, I'm okay with it. It was fun to try something new!

I hope my nephews have fun with them :)

For You

I have to confess - I only started making my Christmas cards last week!

Between my job and "other" things in my personal life, there hasn't been enough hours in a day!

Having said that..... I have had this one bouncing around in my head for a little while now - the only thing I was missing for my layout was a "lamp post".

I was hoping to create an "old fashioned" feel/look for this card and thanks to an early Christmas present I was able to find and purchase a lamp post die to complete my vision.

Penguin Ooopps

This stamp makes me giggle every time I see it.

It will make the perfect card for my bestie. This card  isn't for her as I do have a couple of nephews who will "appreciate" this image as well ha ha.

Like seriously, who didn't have a friend or in my case brothers who dared us to do this? I admit it - for me, I fell for the tongue on the metal toboggan trick thanks to my brothers!

No Peeking

Life has been crazy! Just like everyone at this time of year, there are never enough hours in a day!

Today, I am sharing my card for the challenge over at Your Next Stamp.

The Instalove Polaroid Die has been on my wish list for a very long time and thanks to an early Christmas present I got it - whooo hooo.

I used the polaroid die to create my "window" for my curious little reindeer.

Addie's Angel

I wanted to share a card I made for a very special young lady named Addie.

Her Christmas  wish is to receive Christmas cards - as many as she can.

You can find her story here:  http://q13fox.com/2014/12/01/little-girl-who-weighs-just-23-pounds-has-one-christmas-wish-before-she-dies-can-you-help/

Denise Lynn and Crissy Armstrong of Whimsy Stamps  generously made this Little Christmas Angel digi stamp available for us to use to make a Christmas card to send Addie.

It is amazing to be involved with a group of people who care so much and it warms my heart to be able to do one small thing to help make Addie's dream come true. For me, that is what Christmas is all about. :)

Little Christmas Angel is coloured with Spectrum Noir markers. I used patterned paper from Bo Bunny's Mistletoe Collection, the flower and sentiment are cut from Celebrate with flourish (Cricut). I added some glitter and red gum drops from Your Next Stamp, ink from Stampin' Up and used a silver gel pen to have the sentiment pop out a little.

I know your Christmas wish will come true Addie!
