Anything Is Possible!

Welcome back High Hopes and One Crazy Stamper Fans! I hope you have been enjoying the new "A Magical Day" release.
I have been having fun trying to figure out how to include some magic in each card I making. Today our "Little Wizard" is practicing his magic and has figured out how to cast a rainbow of stars!

For as simple as this card layout looks, it actually took me 8 tries to have it come together perfectly - I am so thankful for my Misti! The stars are done with sparkle pens which kept bleeding and when I decided to add clouds, one of them smeared - tip - wait for sparkle pens to completely dry before accidentally adding ink - so I had to start over. Finally after figuring out the perfect paper to use, how to "drop" my extra juicy sparkle pen in the space so it wouldn't bleed and inking my clouds.. my background came together.

After colouring my image with alcohol markers, I hand fussy cut it leaving a thin white border. All of this cuteness was added to paper from Photo Play and Echo Park and I combined two different sentiments to create the sentiment.

Dream Big

I am having so much fun playing with the new A Magical Day release!

Today we find our "Little Wizard In Training" in her workshop practicing with her book of magic.

I wanted to keep the book theme throughout my card so I chose use some paper that had a book theme, a file tab, and a letter edge die.
A brick pattern stencil and Memento ink created the wall in the background. The dot paper and gumdrops in the corners keep a "bubble theme" throughout the card as well since our little wizard seems to be working on quite the recipe at the moment.

Easter Greetings

I am sneaking onto the OCS blog today to share some Easter inspiration with you. Easter is just around the corner and I couldn't help make a card with the stamp!

How cute are the "Peeking Spring Buddies" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps! They are perfect a happy Spring hello card too - so many ideas bouncing around in my brain for these cuties!

After colouring up these happy friends with alcohol markers I hand fussy cut them leaving a thin white edge and popped them up with foam dots. I cut my background square and did a partial cut with a circle die. Next I grabbed some ink and a cloud die and added the cloud background. Some bright, fun plaid paper was perfect to bring these friends to life! Some matching ribbon and gumdrops finish off my card.

Imagine

Welcome to the new "A Magical Day" release at High Hopes Rubber Stamps!
Gnomes and fairies, and dragons OH MY!!!!!!!!! This release is full of magical stamps and matching sentiments! Be sure to use the link above to go directly to the website to see the full release!

The design team will be sharing lots of magic with these new images - you won't want to miss a day!

I so excited to introduce you to the oh so cute "Wizarding Gnome"! How cute is he!?! I wonder what he is up to.............

I wanted to create a magical themed background and yet keep it somewhat subtle if that makes sense. After colouring up the stamp with alcohol markers, I fussy cut him leaving a thin white edge and popped him up with foam dots. Some sparkle pen added to the stars and ball were perfect for a little bit of magical bling. Sparkly dangling stars made with a stencil and Stickles add to the magic - although it didn't quite work out perfectly

The sentiment was stamped directly on to the background paper. Then I masked off the stamp and to just get the stars and added them in three different places to keep the theme going through out the card. A few of the small stars have Stickles added to them too, it's just kind of hard to see in the photo.

Stamp: Wizarding Gnome - High Hopes Rubber Stamps

Just Because Fawn

For this month's Anything Goes challenge card I made a card for my stash that I can send to a friend who needs a pick me up or.....just because.
I have used the  Fawn digital stamp by Crissy Armstrong and some paper from the new Flourshing Blooms digital paper pack. My card is definitely a CAS card - for me anyway - as I wanted to keep the focus on this gorgeous stamp.

After printing and colouring my stamp with alcohol markers, fussy cut it and went around the edge with a black marker to clean up any white I left behind. Next I printed two sheets of paper from the Flourishing Blooms digital paper pack and cut one to fit my A2 size card. I printed and trimmed the sentiment and backed it with matching digital paper. A simple white circle and matching paper are the perfect backdrop for this cutie. All of this is mounted on to a piece of white card stock embossed with a floral border design.

Happy Easter...

It is hard to believe that Easter is just around the corner and will be here before we know it! For us, Easter weekend is the last weekend of this month (March) - Yikes!!!
This has made me put my Easter card making in to overdrive! Thankfully, High Hopes Rubber Stamps has an amazing assortment of Easter stamps available!

This card is made using Sm. Easter Bunny, "Sm." because this cutie is also available in a larger size - either way, perfect for Easter don't you think?

I actually coloured this stamp at a crop at One Crazy Stamper. I had taken a very large selection of patterned paper with me, but when I was trying to choose a paper none of them were really working for me. So what is a gal to do? Why, go see what is available and buy new paper or course! Love the colours in this 6x6 pad from Echo Park!( the plaid is from this pad)

Finally after choosing my paper, I set about colouring this cutie with alcohol makers and fussy cutting it leaving a thin white edge to help it stand out. I cut a stitched tag out of some matching patterned paper and added a fun scallop border and a bow. After stamping my sentiment I added it to my card with matching patterned paper, more scallops and added some fish tail banner tags just for fun - although this is a great way to use up the small pieces of paper left from trimming. Matching enamel dots finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Sm. Easter Bunny - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Happy Easter - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Patterned Paper: Hello Easter - Echo Park, It's A Boy - Carta Bella, Dots and Stripes - Echo Park

Hoppy Easter

Welcome back Whimsy fans! This year is flying by and Easter will be here before we know it!
The new Penguin Easter Bunny digital stamp is the perfect stamp to get a head start on your Easter cards! He really is too cute with his big floppy ears isn't he?!

After sizing, printing and colouring my stamp with alcohol markers, I fussy cut him using my trusty cuticle scissors.  A piece of cotton ball is the perfect soft, puffy bunny tail isn't it?! I ran a black marker around the edges to clean up any white edges that I missed with my scissors. Next I built my scene using a stitched die for the grass, a fence die and added some clouds using ink, a dauber and a cloud die cut. The sentiment was done on my computer and sized and printed to fit. Some ribbon and gumdrops finish off my card.

Stamp: Penguin Easter Bunny - Whimsy Stamps
Sentiment: computer

The Cat Did It!

How cute are these two!? I can't help but giggle right along with them!
Meet Ashley and Jan's Pillow Fun, an older stamp from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.
I love when a stamp brings back fun memories! This one took me back to when a friend of mine's girls were quite young. They had a pillow fight and ended up knocking some things off a shelf.......nothing broke but they blamed it on the cats. My friend had two cats at the time if I remember correctly, and one was a kitten who was "up" on everything........so really - it was perfect to blame the cat- although Mom was a little smarter then that

I coloured these cuties with alcohol markers, cut it out with a stitched rectangle die and added some glittery Nuvo drops to their wings. Patterned paper from Simple Stories, My Favourite Things and Doodlebug were perfect for this stamp.
Some feathers from my stash and some matching glitter gumdrops finish off my card.
