Anyone else spend their morning making last minute Christmas cards? Truthfully, I didn't intend to make more but I was playing with inks creating backgrounds and well sometimes you look at a background and have the perfect die to go with it. I have stepped out of my comfort zone with these cards as they are CAS (clean and simple) and ........ the image isn't coloured! So fun to push myself out of my creative box and I really like how they came out.
I created the background using Distress and Stampin' Up inks, splattered it with water and then using a toothbrush and watered down acrylic paint, added some white splatters. When this was dry, I stamped the sentiment using my Misti and set them aside. I decided I wanted the wise men to be a silhoutte and cut them out using my Big Kick. After finding some white glitter paper in my stash I cut out the star and added it to the corner. I glued down the wisemen and then added a navy blue piece of cardstock and added them to the A2 card base.
