A2 Card/Envelope Gift Set Holder

I should be colouring and getting some cards made but I was having my first coffee of the morning and came up this Easy A2 Card/Envelope Gift Set Holder video from Hollow Tree Hobbies. After watching the video - link here, I got my dog up and fed, had another coffee and got down to business.

For me, it is fun to do something other than cards sometimes to get my creative juices flowing and this is the perfect project to do that. This easy to follow video was the perfect project to start my day! I still have to make the cards but I wanted to share the holder base I created.

I love that the video has the measurements on the screen and some tips and tricks to help create this easy gift set. I have used patterned paper from Elizabeth Craft Designs and all edges are inked with Weathered Wood ink.

Dragonfly Dreams

There are times in my crafty life when I get what I call creatively challenged. A time when no matter what I try to do it doesn't turn out right and I end up walking out of my craft room.

To help kick start my creativity at times like this I challenge myself to do something completely different and out of my comfort zone. I will watch videos to find that something different and when I saw this card tutorial on the Hollow Tree Hobbies Facebook page (tutorial link) I knew I had to try it! I don't know what the official name of this card style is but it was fun to do and helped me out of my creative block.

I have had the Aquarelle Dreams paper in my stash for quite a while now and was waiting for the perfect project to use it on. After watching the tutorial I couldn't wait to try this - it is unique, different and new to me. I opened the video and followed it step by step to create the card. I pushed myself even further out of my comfort zone to put the collage of ephemera pieces together to decorate the front. I had a few hiccups with the first one so did a second one and now I have two cards for my stash for a birthday, or just because or whatever I would like to use it for.
