Penguin Christmas

It's looking a lot like Christmas in my craft room! Growing up we always had an artificial tree but I had a lot of friends and family who made it a tradition to go out as a family and get a real tree. This stamp called Penguins Carry The Tree from Whimsy Stamps reminds me of the fun stories my friends told of their adventures to find the perfect tree. 

                                                       

After stamping on alcohol marker friendly paper, I coloured with Copic markers and hand fussy cut the stamps and went around the edges with a black marker to get any white I had missed. It is hard to see in the pictures but I added Star Dust Stickles to the hats as well. I used the stitched border trio to cut some snow banks and added them to my card bases created with patterned papers from Photo Play, Echo Park and my stash. Sentiments, twine, glittery snowflakes and enamel dots were added to both cards to finish them off.
