Last weekend I spent some time practicing colouring flowers. I had found a few stamps at a Thrift store so I took a break from Christmas cards to colour a few up. This weekend my goal is to get some cards made with my practice colourings. First up is this birthday card featuring Pure Prairie Bouquet from Power Poppy Stamps.
After stamping on alcohol marker friendly paper, I coloured with Copic markers and hand fussy cut the stamp leaving a thin white edge - yes I questioned my decision to fussy cut this stamp more than a few times while cutting. I wanted to keep the card design pretty clean and simple because the stamp has a lot going on. I cut some white card stock, stamped some script and then cut it down the middle with a hill border die. All papers are edged with Old Paper Distress ink. Next, I positioned the sentiment where I wanted it and stamped it directly on to the card stock using my Misti. Some simple enamel dots finish off my card.
