Birthday Iris

The weather is grey and rainy where I live today so I decided to have a play in my craft room with something that makes me happy to brighten up my day. I love flowers - don't do well growing them but I do love them. Roses are my favourite but I also have grown very fond of Iris so I planted some this summer.

I also need birthday cards for my stash so when I saw this Iris stamp in my stash I decided it was perfect for a birthday card and to brighten my day.

I coloured the stamp with Copic markers after stamping on alcohol marker friendly paper and cut it out using a chain oval die. I found some paper from Lawn Fawn and Honey Bee Stamps that were perfect for my card design and cut them out to fit my 5.5" x 5.5" card base. Some twine, a fussy cut butterfly from my stash, sentiment and enamel dots finish off my card.

Stamp - Flowers For Jan - Flourishes
Sentiment - Happy Birthday Script - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Patterned Paper - Rainbow Ever After - Lawn Fawn, Playful Pastels - Honey Bee

Hammermill digital cover stock, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Big and Small Chain Oval die - Gina Marie Designs, butterfly - stash, twine, enamel dots

Copic List
