Live Life

This week I decided to  challenge myself. I wanted to use a "portion" of a larger stamp by masking it to "create" a new image. Masking a portion of a larger stamp gives me more ways to use a stamp I have purchased.

I chose "Fragrant Blooms" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps and masked off this cute snail and flowers.

After masking off the stamp and stamping only the portion I wanted to use, I coloured it with alcohol markers and Prisma Pencils and cut it out using a circle die. Next I cut a piece of white card stock to fit my card and added some ink splatters with matching ink to create a bit of a back ground. This was added to some gingham paper from MFT after I inked all of the edges with Distress ink.
I placed my stamp roughly where I wanted it on the card and with the help of my Misti stamped the sentiment. Some twine and sparkly enamel dots finish off my card.

Everything Grows

It's a happy Thursday again and that means it's my turn to post on the High Hopes Stamps blog.

Today I am sharing the oh so cute "Fragrant Blooms" and "Everything Grows" sentiment from the Spring 2016 Collection new release. I absolutely love the pig tails on this cutie don't you?!

This is the perfect birthday or Mother's Day stamp for the gardener in your life - mine is my mother in law.

I am in love with the SVG files sold separately for each image and sentiment in this new release. I started by cutting both the sentiment and stamp files along with the background for each with my Cricut. The stamp is coloured with alcohol markers and mounted onto the background. The patterned paper is new to my "collection" from Prima - I really liked the almost country feel to some of these papers. The image itself is popped up with pop dots and I added clear Wink of Stella to the flowers. Some lace ribbon and cream gumdrops ( they look pink but they're cream) to finish off my card.
