I can never seem to keep dog themed birthday cards made up fast enough for my friends and family who are dog lovers. "Fred" from High Hopes rubber stamps is one of my favourites to use for a dog themed birthday card but I also want to use him for a thinking of you or friendship card too - he is just too cute!!!

Wryn Baker Birthday
I had a special order card order for the first time in a long time. It is for a co worker of my Mom's for her grand daughter. I didn't have a lot of information other than she likes to bake and she has blonde hair. She chose Wryn-Baker from the baking themed stamps I have in my stamp stash so I got to work. She will have it by the time this post goes live.........crossing my fingers she likes it!

Hog Happy Birthday
I have a few friends who love pigs. They think they are awesome and would love to have a property to keep some on. I have had a few experiences in my life with pigs - mostly feeding them and cleaning out their pens. For the most part they were friendly and kind of comical actually especially the piglets. It was fun to watch them experience new things as they are quite curious and smart.
I can't say they are one of my favourite animals but for some of my friends they are so when I saw the "Hog Happy" stamp in the "Let's Celebrate" re-release at High Hopes Rubber Stamps, I knew this cute hog with her balloon and party hat would be perfect for one of their birthday cards.

Sir Dustin's Birthday
"Sir Dustin" is ready to take on the world along with his dragon friend for back up of course!
These two are the perfect pair for a masculine, fairy tale, knight and dragon themed Birthday card or party invitation.
After colouring the stamp with alcohol markers I hand fussy cut it using an xacto knife and trusty maincure scissors. Next I set about designing my castle. Distress ink, a brick pattern stencil and grey card stock made this idea come together quite quickly. What didn't go quickly was cutting it down to size, and cutting the "castle top" - this took more then a few tries but I think I have something acceptable. For fun, I also added a "tower" that is actually curved so it pops off the page a little bit. I added some grass and tufts of grass and a light blue sky that actually has clouds in it from an embossing folder but they aren't showing up well.
Sir Dustin and his trusty dragon are added with 3D foam pop dots just for fun.
A bold Happy Birthday sentiment, a flag with it's own flag pole and some enamel dots finish off my card.
